![]() ![]() It was perfect for all these characters, all the way to end. I know they are making new Marvel films, but I truly believe this to be the perfect final ending of the amazing originals: Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye. This film has such a perfect, wholesome ending to the original Avengers. I understand why this film was sold out across the world. I now understand the fuss… I understand why this has smashed box office scores. Overall, to say the least, the action scenes are the best scenes within the movie. Nevertheless, it all ties in nicely and sums up perfectly by the end of the film. This is where is can become a little overwhelming, there are scenes where a lot is going on. There are also many plots contributing to the film. He is an excellent, powerful antagonist on screen, extremely dangerous and understated. The other main plot line follows Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rourke), the new villain of the film. At the forefront, we have the spiralling of Tony Stark, of the rash decisions he makes and the self-destructive attitude he brings to every scene. ‘Iron Man 2’ has many different storylines going on at the same time. Jackson as Nick Fury and even Scarlett Johansson is present (a truly fantastic character to be introduced to say the least). Finally, in this second Iron Man film we are also given a few more recognisable characters, such as Samuel L. If only they pushed this a little further. I love the arc of her story across this film as she is given more power to Stark Industries, where her character is only brought to more light as the empowering woman she has become, rather than just the assistant to Tony. Gwyneth Paltrow again graces our screen as Pepper Potts. However, when we discover why his downward spiral is so out of control it only becomes understandable and adds a lot more to this flawed, realistic character. ![]() Initially, I felt this jump backwards took away from the origin film. Seemingly, his character has gone backwards slightly from the transformation he made in the first film. Robert Downey Jr is back as the arrogant Tony Stark. There are some great one-liners, that really do make me giggle. There are some funny scenes, not just the one I’ve already mentioned. One of the most hilarious Marvel scenes is iconic in this film: when they all attempt to lift Thor’s hammer. There is constant action and scattered throughout is the easy comedy to give some light comic relief. I do love to become absorbed into a Marvel film and this one is definitely one of the best in doing this. Because it’s Marvel, they are done incredibly well and it’s easy to be captivated into this superhero world. You are thrown straight in with the action-packed scenes. The action of this film begins almost immediately. ![]() Ultron is a great villain, incredibly powerful and determined in his mission. Only in my recent watch did I recognise the voice of Ultron: James Spader! It’s very clever how he can create such a personality of Ultron just in a voice. Soon, it has masked itself into a robot and starts to terrorise the world on its own mission. In its eyes, peace is found by destroying the Avengers. Once the all-knowing computer is born, it begins to look for peace. Tony Stark created Ultron, a more sophisticated version of Jarvis. ![]()
